Have Camera, Will Travel….{Boise Idaho Newborn Photograph}

ESPECIALLY for a newborn! When Holly told me that she was flying to Utah to photograph her brand new niece, I couldn’t NOT try to find a way to meet her there! Finding a babysitter on such short notice proved to be slightly difficult but seemed as it was meant to be as everything slowly fell into place. I actually didn’t know that i was for sure going till about an hour before I left. But yay me! Holly’s new niece is just about the sweetest thing ever. Holly and I saw her late thursday night after I got in and we could barely sleep thinking about how wonderful it was going to be to be able to photograph this beautiful baby girl. She was such a perfect little model for us. Slept so peacefully and let us squish her, curl her, and do just about anything we could in the few hours that we had with her. We got a TON of fabulous images, but I have just a few to share with you today of this beautiful babe! But don’t you worry… i’ll surely be back posting more and more and more….

i LOVE her name! and it suits her perfectly!

So yes, i had a blast on my short little trip to Utah. We also got to photograph Holly’s baby sister who just got engaged. I’ll have to share a few of those later too.
Yesterday i said my goodbye’s to Holly and headed back home and I just have to share some pics of what happened…

about 30 minutes into my trip back home my car started to shimmy and then shake so bad that i thought it was falling apart. And then i saw smoke through my rear window so i knew i HAD to pull over. The nicest little family pulled over to help me change my biggest flattest tire EVER. I then had to slowly roll back into Ogdgen where I had to sit for 2 1/2 hours while Les Schwab replaced not one, but THREE of my four tires! It could have been a lot worse if I had left any later or gotten any further. But here i am back safe and sound with lots and lots of fun pics to edit!
until next time….

Tressa - March 30, 2009 - 6:15 pm

Thanks for driving all that way to come and visit and take pictures of my littlest princess. :) You and Holly got some absolutely amazing shots and I am super grateful! I can already tell that it is going to be impossible to decide which pictures to print and blow up. I just don’t have enough wall space!! I think you and Holly are going to have to choose for me. :)
That is the pits about your car! At least you were able to get it fixed and there wasn’t a bigger problem than just some tires! I’m glad you got home safe. :)

Hi Amanda, I love all of your Phoenix shots – you are an awesome photographer. It was so great to meet you!

I Finally….. {Boise, Children’s photographer}

found the time to take Bella on her 7 year photo adventure. It’s still been pretty cold here, but a few days before I left for Arizona it warmed up to about 55 degrees (yes – that’s warm for us). We grabbed a few outfits and headed out with the rest of the kids in tow…. We drove and drove looking for the right spot and I decided to try out this little abandoned house that I’ve had my eye on… We found some great lights but the goat-heads there were out of control. Do NOT go there without shoes!!!

We then headed over to this old wooden shed on stilts that I saw a few weeks ago while scouting for a family shoot. The light was still a little harsh, but I’ll definitley be returning…. possibly with my hubby’s help.:)

… and now… I have Haley asking for her turn. Don’t you love it when your kids ASK YOU to take their picture?!?!?….

Alisha Robertson - March 15, 2009 - 7:48 pm

Beautiful, beautiful shots of your gorgeous daughter!

tiffany - March 15, 2009 - 10:41 pm

Oh I love that first one for some reason. You are so awesome. I love checking up on your blog! Is Mesa full yet? I’m still torn between signing up for another of your fabulous classes but i don’t have as much family in arizona so the trip would be a bit trickier & complicated. Anyways, so are you saying eventually my kids will actually ask to have pics taken? It seems unlikely but i’ll keep hoping!!!

Jodi M - March 15, 2009 - 11:35 pm
