This weekend Jack got to go on his first “boys only” camping trip. Grandpa sent him an email ( i mean sent me an email addressed to Jack) last week asking him if he could go camping and fishing with him. Well, once he got that email, there was NO stopping him! He couldn’t wait!
So on Friday we packed him up with some warm clothes and waited and waited for Grandpa to show up. When Grandpa got there he got to help him load the trailer and the boat. And then they were off. He was actually happy to let me snap some pics of him getting ready.
Too bad that they had to come home early because of SNOW!!! Poor guys drove right back into winter!

So special to have one-on-one time with Grandpa!
How fun!! I bet the snow didn’t ruin thier trip though, what special times to share with grandpa
Oh, I bet he was so excited! So fun! And, yuck, to the snow!!!
SNOW?!?! Heck we were in our pool and we’re in CANADA! 😉 He’s getting so big – fun for the ‘men’ to bond like this.
awww SOOO cute that they had a little getaway weekend! I can’t believe it snowed though!! we’re in a heat wave!! Glad he let you snap some shots so you can remember it all!
Adorable — I love that you captured something special to the both of them!
how fun and what great memories for him!
Snow??!! In May? Oh my goodness! When I took my kids to lunch today here in Florida, my car said it was 100 degrees already!! Not sure how I’m going to handle this transition to Idaho! LOL! I’ve been emailing back and forth with a lady that lives there and she said that you guys have had a really cold and windy spring!
Gatorade?…not Diet Pepsi?? Cliff must have done the shopping. What fun for Jack!
Still a memorable trip though I’m sure! We’re looking fwd to our next camping-fishing trip, believe you-me!
snow – yikes! looks like fun!!
